Half of the proceeds from each shopping bag sale directly support childhood literacy development in South Africa. We proudly partner with The LEARN Project, a local non-profit trust dedicated to uplifting education in the country through the power of books and literacy.

The LEARN Project equips schools in need with reading books, creating sustainable school libraries and classroom book corners. H&M’s bag charge donation will help The LEARN Project move closer to its vision of placing a book in the hands of every learner, fostering a love for reading and learning today so that they may reach their full potential tomorrow.

To date, The LEARN Project has donated 86,617 books, established 25 school libraries and placed 444 book corners in schools. With your help, they can reach even more children in need, equipping them with essential reading resources.
